Second National Insurance Symposium entitled “Distribution Channels for Insurance and Private Pension Sector” was held in Istanbul on May 26th, 2014, by Insurance Training Center (SEGEM) in the framework of Insurance Week, with the contribution of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry, Undersecretariat of Treasury, The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and The Association of the Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Companies of Turkey (TSB). Participants from the regulatory and supervisory authority, insurance sector executives, academics and representatives of the press had participated in the symposium. The symposium consisted of two sessions entitled “Distribution Channels at the World and Turkey” and “New Era at Distribution Channels for Insurance and Private Pension Sector”. The speeches and presentations made at the symposium will be compiled and published as a book. The books will then be sent to all stakeholders in the insurance sector, interested institutions, corporations and universities.
