Fourth National Insurance Symposium was held…

The last week of May is celebrated as “Insurance Week” in Turkey. During this week, many activities are organized by different stakeholders in the Turkish insurance sector to enhance insurance awareness in the society.

Fourth National Insurance Symposium entitled “New Improvements in the Insurance Sector” was held in Istanbul on May 25th, 2015, by Insurance Training Center (SEGEM) in the framework of Insurance Week.

Representatives from the regulatory and supervisory authority, insurance sector executives, academics and representatives of the press participated the Symposium. The opening notes of the symposium were made by Dr. Ahmet Genç, Deputy Undersecretary , Undersecretariat of Treasury; Mr. Ender Yorgancılar, Vice President, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey; Mr. Ramazan Ülger, President, the Association of the Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Companies of Turkey and Mrs. Armağan Koç Esen, Director of SEGEM. After the opening notes, the first session of the symposium entitled “New Regulations on Compulsory Insurance and Compulsory Traffic Insurance Example ” and the second session entitled “New Era in Annuities” were held.

The speeches and presentations made at the symposium will be compiled and published by SEGEM. The published books will be sent to all stakeholders in the insurance sector, institutions, corporations and universities.
