Third National Insurance Symposium entitled “Distribution Channels at Insurance and Private Pension Sectors” was held in Istanbul on May 26th, 2014, by Insurance Training Center (SEGEM) in the framework of Insurance Week, under the auspices of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry, Undersecretariat of Treasury, with the contribution of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Association of the Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Companies of Turkey (TSB).
300 participants from the regulatory and supervisory authority, insurance sector executives, academics and representatives of the press participated the Symposium that was held at the InterContinental Istanbul Hotel.
The opening notes of the symposium were made by Mr. Burhanettin Aktaş, Deputy Undersecretary, Undersecretariat of Treasury and Mr. Ragıp Yergin, Vice President, the Association of the Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Companies of Turkey and Mr. Ender Yorgancılar, Vice President, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey. After the opening notes, the first session of the symposium entitled “Distribution Channels at the World and Turkey” and the second session entitled “New Era in Distribution Channels at Insurance and Private Pension” were held.
